Coyote Pride Marches in London's New Year's Day Parade 2020!
Our very own Coyote Pride Marching Band participated in the London New Year's Day Parade 2020 with over 650,000 spectators lining the streets of London during the parade! More than 8,000 performers from 20 countries around the world participated with news and magazine stories reaching over 800 publications and a worldwide TV audience of hundreds of millions.
The parade route passed by some of the most famous landmarks in London. Starting at Piccadilly, the route made its way to Regent Street, past the famous Ritz Hotel and then on to Pall Mall, finishing at Whitehall. In addition to the parade performance, marching band members, staff, and chaperones toured the top, local tourist attractions throughout the week including:
River Thames cruise to Greenwich and Zero Longitude
The Royal Observatory
Tower of London and Crown Jewels
Harry Potter's London audio tour including Platform 9 ¾ !
Abbey Road Studio
Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Hard Rock Cafe
Oxford University and Christ Church College
Windsor Castle
Buckingham Palace
The Coyote Pride Marching Band was recognized by the Lord Mayor of Westminster on 1/1/2020 for their special performance on November 12, 2019 in Scottsdale, AZ at a conference hosted by the London New Year's Day Parade Committee. Because of this local performance by the Coyote Pride, over 160 marching bands from around the USA signed up to participate in the parade in the years to come.
