The Coyote Fall Concert Spectacular
The Campo Verde High School Jazz, Concert, and Wind Ensembles delivered their first performance of the year in front of an enthusiastic crowd on Wednesday, September 22nd. The Director of Bands, Matt Kozacek, and Assistant Director of Bands, Taylor Mitchell brought together the ensembles in a very enjoyable musical experience.
The concert began with the Jazz Ensembles who performed music by jazz legends Chuck Mangione, Dizzy Gillespie, Leonard Bernstein, and music like "Freedom Jazz Dance," and "The Girl from Ipanema" sung by vocalist Delaney Balk. With ground-breaking solos and exceptional ensemble work, the Coyote jazz musicians delivered an incredible performance.
The Symphonic and Wind Ensembles performed various interesting pieces such as, "Hypnotic Fireflies" by Brian Balmages, and "Groovy Loops" by J Scott McKenzie, followed by beautiful rhythms by the Concert Band. The Coyote bands simply delivered a spectacular fall concert performance.
